Continuing my best books to read with your kids series, I’ve gathered some of my favorite books for middle school and high school students with this list of the best books for teens.
By the time your kids reach middle school and high school, you probably won’t be reading books aloud together as often as you did when your kids were young. You can still share your love for reading by reading the same books your tweens and teens are reading and talking about them together. Books are a great bridge to meaningful parent-child conversations.
To make your next trip to the library or bookstore easier, here’s a list of some of my favorite books for teens. I’ve included both classic and contemporary fiction and non-fiction books. Note: this post contains affiliate links.
1. Wonder
2. Holes
3. Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie
6. All of the Agatha Christie mysteries
8. Diary of Anne Frank Eye-opening insight into the life of a remarkably brave Jewish girl during the Holocaust. It’s a must-read for every young person.
